Thistle Box   SaddleBrown Box   SpringGreen Box   DarkOrchid Box   LimeGreen Box   PowderBlue Box   Turquoise Box   Wheat Box  times     Black Box Box  equals     Chartreuse Box   Thistle Box   SaddleBrown Box   SpringGreen Box   DarkOrchid Box   LimeGreen Box   PowderBlue Box   Turquoise Box

We start with eight boxes, multiply by one box, and now still have eight boxes.

Here's another example:

ForestGreen Box   DodgerBlue Box   Violet Box   CadetBlue Box   RoyalBlue Box   Plum Box   DarkKhaki Box   GreenYellow Box  times     Black Box Box   Black Box Box  equals     ForestGreen Box   DodgerBlue Box   Violet Box   CadetBlue Box   RoyalBlue Box   Plum Box   DarkKhaki Box   GreenYellow Box   ForestGreen Box   DodgerBlue Box   Violet Box   CadetBlue Box   RoyalBlue Box   Plum Box   DarkKhaki Box   GreenYellow Box

We start with eight boxes, multiply by two boxes, and now have sixteen boxes. We take our eight boxes two times to get sixteen boxes:

ForestGreen Box   DodgerBlue Box   Violet Box   CadetBlue Box   RoyalBlue Box   Plum Box   DarkKhaki Box   GreenYellow Box    ForestGreen Box   DodgerBlue Box   Violet Box   CadetBlue Box   RoyalBlue Box   Plum Box   DarkKhaki Box   GreenYellow Box

We start with eight boxes, multiply by three boxes, and now have twenty-four boxes. We take our eight boxes three times to get twenty-four boxes:

BurlyWood Box   DarkMagenta Box   MediumBlue Box   BlueViolet Box   RosyBrown Box   Teal Box   MediumSeaGreen Box   DarkGreen Box    BurlyWood Box   DarkMagenta Box   MediumBlue Box   BlueViolet Box   RosyBrown Box   Teal Box   MediumSeaGreen Box   DarkGreen Box    BurlyWood Box   DarkMagenta Box   MediumBlue Box   BlueViolet Box   RosyBrown Box   Teal Box   MediumSeaGreen Box   DarkGreen Box

In order to do basic multiplication, you must memorize some equations but fear not: FoxyMath will help you! When you are finished with this lesson, you will know the following equations:

8×1 = 8
8×2 = 16
8×3 = 24
8×4 = 32
8×5 = 40
8×6 = 48
8×7 = 56
8×8 = 64
8×9 = 72
8×10 = 80
8×11 = 88
8×12 = 96

The following exercise will help you learn the above equations and what they mean. Please take your time: take whatever time you need to learn the material.
